2015 Beauty Faves ♡

I know, I know, this post is well overdue as we are NOW IN FEBRUARY (is this what happens when you get older? Time just flies by and you can't keep up?) but it still feels like January so we're just going to roll with it because there's no rule book when it comes to blogging, right?

Morphe Brushes - Jaclyn Hill Favourites Palette
One of the first beauts of 2015 was definitely my Jaclyn Hill Favourites Morphe Brushes Palette (which is now well out of stock so I'm really sorry for including it but I just had to!). I have honestly used this palette non-stop since I got it and it has such a great range of shades from both warm and cool toned browns to bright pinks and a deep shimmery purple and green. I feel like this palette is very versatile and any of the Morphe Brushes palette's would be great for someone starting out and also for someone completely obsessed with eyeshadows like me!

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette (post here)
I've already posted a full review with swatches on this perfect palette so I won't bore you with too much information, but, long story short, I am obsessed with the eyeshadow shades in this palette and also the smell is heavenly and really makes me wanna eat it!

Smashbox Colour Corrector Primer
This primer is the only ever primer that I have used, so I am a little biased as I have never tried anything else. However, I do feel like this keeps my makeup in place all day and I do notice a difference if I don't have it on. I chose the colour correcting one in the Smashbox range as I suffer with redness around my nose area and this primer does definitely help to combat that.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - Gobi
I am completely and utterly besotted with this little gem and I never thought that I would ever say that about a foundation in my life! The coverage is perfect for me (medium - can be built up to a fairly full coverage though) and it actually covers the redness that I suffer with on my nose! Amazing! It also feels very lightweight and I don't feel as if I'm caked which is great for me because, although I love makeup, I hate the feel of it on my face. (p.s. review coming soon!!)

Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Champagne Pop
Definitely my all time favourite highlighter of 2015. Champagne Pop is a perfect light peach toned highlight that is very intense (so stay away if you prefer the more subtle look) and I probably apply way too much but I just can't help it because it's so beautiful!

TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer Highlighter
A new highlighter to have become mine during 2015 and it's so perfect for us pale gals as it's this lovely light beige highlight. If you're light handed then it's not too intense but, again, I do use a pretty heavy hand because I love my highlighted cheekbones!

Urban Decay Primer Potion - Original
I really don't think that I will ever go an eyeshadow-wearing-day without applying this primer - it's honestly incredible (and that's coming from a girl who never believed in eyeshadow primer's..). My eyeshadow does not budge when I apply this UD primer underneath it and it certainly does not crease - I know!?!

Benefit Roller Lash Msacara
Yes, I know, let's all watch Char jump on the Roller Lash bandwagon.. But seriously, this mascara has changed my (mascara) life! I was really getting fed up of every single eyeshadow clumping on my eyelashes and just looking awful (and trust me, I own 15 mascara's - high end and low end - so it's definitely not through lack of trying). That was until I took the plunge and purchased this precious baby #ILOVEYOU (yes, I did just use a hashtag in a blog post :) oh, and a smiley face).

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (Taupe) & Benefit Gimme Brow (Light/Medium)
Oh yes, this is the winning duo for my eyebrows! To be honest, both of these products are pretty expensive (especially for how small they are) but I totally get why now that I have used them and then used something different afterwards, the comparison is like no other for me and I seriously notice a difference if I use different brow products over these.

MAC Lipstick (Pink Plaid) & MAC Lipliner (Hip 'n' Happy)
Another kick ass duo - MAC Pink Plaid lipstick and Hip 'n' Happy lip liner. I feel like I'm wearing some sort of candyfloss cheesecake on my lips whenever I wear this combo - it's just so pretty and girly and I love it! I will be doing a lengthy post on this combination during the Spring/Summer months so keep your eyes pealed for that one.

Maybelline Moisture Renew Lipstick - Midnight Wonderl'oops
My trusty, vampy, purple lip AND it's from the drugstore AND it's super hydrating on the lips, uh-huh, you heard it here first folks, this lipstick is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I love how you can build up the intensity of this lipstick by applying less or more. You could also add some translucent powder over the top to make it matte, but I actually prefer the hydrated look that this lipstick gives me (even though I am totally obsessed with matte lips).

What were your 2015 beauty faves?xoxo

    1. It's stunning and so versatile! It's such a shame that it wasn't made a permanent palette because you can buy all of these shades individually so I don't know why they didn't just keep making it haha :) xo
