HAUL | Goodies from ColourPop

I've been wanting to buy some goodies from Colourpop for the longest time, so when I saw that they were offering free international shipping a few weeks back, I jumped on the chance and went a little O.T.T..

Unfortunately, I obviously didn't miss the pesky custom charges or the Royal Mail handling fee - which was a pain, but because I didn't have to pay shipping on top of that I really didn't mind that much.

My parcel arrived pretty quickly to be honest, I would say it took around a week and I was expecting it to take at least two weeks so I was pleasantly surprised!

When I first opened my parcel, I was greeted with the cutest little note from Colourpop which I think is a lovely little added extra that makes your delivery feel just that little bit more special. It was also packed extremely well with lots of foam material to make sure no damage would be done to the products inside.

As I said earlier, I did decide to treat myself and just buy as much as my budget would let me! I only purchased lip products this time around, but next time there is free international shipping I will definitely order some of their eyeshadow's.

I decided to purchase five of the Ultra Matte Lipsticks, two of the Lippie Stix, two of the Ultra Satin Lipsticks and one of the Lippie Pencils.

Ultra Matte Lipsticks

I have heard many mixed reviews about the Ultra Matte Lips, but I decided to go ahead and purchase some for myself anyway and make up my own mind on them! A lot of people say they are extremely drying and uncomfortable to wear, but I guess I'll find that out for myself if the rumours are true! I normally tend to apply a little bit of lip salve over the top of any lip product I wear anyway, but I do expect matte lipsticks to be drying!

I will report back with a review post on the Ultra Matte Lipsticks when I have tried them all out.

Bianca - Soft, mauve pink. Perfect for daytime wear. This shade is really pretty and pink and super girly.

Beeper - Warm, mid-tone taupe. The online swatch is c o m p l e t e l y different to the actual colour of this liquid lipstick, which is a little disappointing because I was expecting a more brick red-toned shade. However, I do still like this shade a lot.

Midi - Soft, neutral, pink-y beige. Another shade perfect for daytime wear. This shade is really nice and subtle and not something I would usually go for, as it is quite a light shade.

Avenue - Deep, yellow red. A perfect shade for this time of the year, leading up to Christmas. Definitely a shade that's out of my comfort zone, but I'm excited to try this and see what it looks like!

Trap - Dusty, grey-beige. I don't own anything like this shade - with a grey undertone - and I'm excited to see what this looks like on!

Lippie Stix

I remember first hearing about the Lippie Stix ages ago on Jaclyn Hill's YouTube channel in one of her videos, and I've wanted to try these ever since! I finally got my hands on some and I only decided to purchase two. I haven't heard any negatives about the Lippie Stix, so I'm excited to see how these wear.

Lippie Pencil

I definitely feel like I should have purchased way more of the lip pencils because you can never have too many right? From the swatch, this feels super creamy and highly pigmented which is always a bonus, so I will 100% be buying more of these next time!

Ultra Satin Lip

A lot of bloggers much prefer the Ultra Satin Lip's to the Ultra Matte Lip's, as they find them much more comfortable to wear. Again, I wish I had purchased more of these than the Matte's but it's no big deal and I may get on perfectly fine with the Matte version! Obviously I also bought nude/pink shades because that's just how we roll around here!

Oh Snap (Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil) - Pale, dirty, nude pink. Another lovely subtle shade, perfect for everyday wear. Originally I wanted Cookie, but I found the online swatch of that one a bit too "foundation-coloured nude" - if you know what I mean. So I settled for Oh Snap instead, which so far I am super pleased with.

Tootsie - Cool-toned, grey/beige. This one is similar in shade to Trap, just a lot more grey/a lot less pink.

Echo Park - Warm, peachy nude. This is a shade that I've never come across before or picked up and I have absolutely no idea why because isn't it beautiful!? I love the peach undertone, I can't wait to try this.

Alyssa - Neutral, dusty pink. Another pink based nude.. I know! I seem to be obsessed. This one is a beautiful baby pink which I love the look of.

In case you're wondering, yes I am interested in having every single Colourpop lip shade available - I mean, can you blame me? They're so inexpensive and the shade range is a m a z i n g!

REVIEW | Patisserie De Bain

Recently I was approached by a lovely lady called Abbi, asking if I fancied being sent some sweet products from Patisserie de Bain and obviously I jumped at this chance because all of their products sound right up my street! I'm obsessed with sweet, fruity and floral scents so this was a no-brainer for me really!

I received a Bath and Shower Creme, Body Lotion, Hand Cream, Bath Fancies/Melts and a Lip Salve. All in difference fruity scents!

Patisserie de Bain Sweet as Cherry Pie Bath Fancies - £10.00*
When I opened the package and saw these bath melts, I immediately noticed how pretty they were and thought 'I don't want to use these because they're too pretty!!'. The design of them is super cute and they look good enough to eat! When I dropped one of these into the bath it did dissolve quite slowly (as advised on the website), but it left my skin feeling so incredibly smooth because of the cocoa and shea butter mixed with the almond oil. Not to mention I smelt like cherries - amazing!

Patisserie de Bain Sweet as Cherry Pie Body Lotion - £4.99*
I also received a body lotion in the same sweet cherry scent as the bath melts above. The cherry smell is very strong and can be a little over-powering/sickly, so I would maybe stay away if you can't stand the smell of cherry or strong scents, but I don't mind strong scents as it just means that you smell nicer for a longer period of time! I don't tend to try out different body lotions because I'm really funny with them being too thick as I hate being sticky, but I obviously gave this one go and I did quite like it! It is thick in consistency and does take a little bit of work to massage into the skin, but because of this it's extremely hydrating.

Patisserie de Bain Sweet as Cherry Pie Bath and Shower Creme - £3.99*
I was most excited about receiving a bath/shower creme because you can never have too many, right?! You get a lot of product in the large tube and for a great price! Again, the scent is quite strong but I love this because I still smell like cherry once I'm dry and out of the shower. The creme lathers up on a shower puff really well and a little does go a long way, so this shower creme will definitely last me quite a while.

Patisserie de Bain Orange Crush Hand Cream Tube - £3.99*
I have only tried this hand cream once, due to the fact that I'm intolerant (I know, first world problem..) to Orange. It's a pretty standard hand cream that is fairly thick and very hydrating and I do actually like the smell of orange so this scent was really lovely. As far as hand creams go, this one's a good'un! I will definitely purchase another hand cream from the range in a different scent for sure.

Rose and Co Rose Petal Lip Balm Tube - £3.00*
Lastly, I received this really pretty lip balm from Rose & Co. I love the design and the scent is really lovely! This is a multi-use salve that can be used on lips, cuticles, rough skin, dry patches, lashes and brows - which is awesome! I really like the slightly thicker consistency because when I wake up in the morning, my lips feel super hydrated! The application is also perfect because you don't have to use your finger as the tip of the tube is shaped to make application to your lips easy.

HONESTY | 5 Things I Struggle With Whilst Writing Blog Posts

1. Mind fog - or otherwise known as 'brain block'. I get this a l o t and it's always when I have a lot to say. I can never get the words out and I never feel like the word's flow even when they do eventually come. I'm always concentrating really hard on what I write to make sure it sounds formal enough but not so formal that I seem like a robot - know what I mean? I'm even struggling trying to explain myself here.. I'll get there one day, I hope! Just bear with and any feedback would be much appreciated.

2. Trying to show my personality in a post can be quite difficult as I don't really know who I am if that makes sense? I'm kind of that in between stage of coming across boring and shut up-now-you're-being-cringey. I'm still trying to find my feet and see what works best for me and at the moment I'm not really sure what that is.. 

3. Trying not to repeat myself - I do tend to repeat myself a lot and use the same words over and over and as I'm not an experienced writer (at all), I have no idea what other words to use instead to save repeating myself. 

4. Being engaging - I always read other people's blog posts and think 'wow, I am seriously so interested right now and I wish I could write like that'. It's kind of hard to explain but I'm hoping you all know what I mean. I just don't feel like I'm relatable (and this ties in with my 'showing my personality' point) when I read my posts back to myself. Even though I am relatable in real life. Just your average gal pal.

5. Having no help - I'm sure a lot of people are in this same boat that I am where we have no help from anyone around us. I'm always struggling with the layout of my blog and how to insert clickable images when sharing a wishlist or something similar. I just feel like such a newbie and like I'm never learning anything. I also feel a bit stuck in a rut as I have no one to ask for help but have no idea how to 'up my game', as it were.

I've just read through this post and realised that it probably sounds a bit 'woe is me' and a little depressing, but I'm just trying something new by sharing my honest opinion and seeing what kind of feedback I receive.

I love posting about beauty and fashion but sometimes an honest post makes for an easier write and gets us all engaging with one another, which I love.
