HOME | Mini Primark Candle Haul

I went to Primark last week and discovered their candle range, here's what I bought..
I know, I know, I'm late to the bandwagon yet again! I'm pretty sure most of you already know how awesome Primark's home section is at the moment, but I thought I'd share a very mini haul of the candles I picked up!
I haven't been to Primark in the longest time (it's always too busy for me to even attempt going inside), so it was nice to go one evening in the week a few weeks back now, when it was fairly quiet and I could have a right good scour of the shop!
I also bought two skirts, a black pair of skinny jeans (for £8 - what!?!) and a pair of black boots, alongside the candles - just in case you were wondering what else I picked up!

Pink Orchid Jar Candle, Wild Orchid & Honey - £1.00
I cannot tell you enough how amazing this scent is, it's absolutely b e a u t i f u l and I love it. It's quite a sweet yet floral scent - perfect for the Spring/Summer. It's also a fairly strong smelling candle, considering that this was only £1.

White Madagascan Vanilla Jar Candle, Madagascan Vanilla - £1.00
Vanilla is one of my all time favourite scents, so obviously I had to pop this one in my basket as well! Again, it was only £1 and also is fairly strong. One thing I find super annoying when buying cheap candles is them not being scented at all, so this did not disappoint.

Pink Golden Ashwood Scented Candle - £4.00
You caught me, I pretty much bought this candle for the jar only.. It just so happens to be a bonus that I'm obsessed with the scent as well, which is obviously the whole point of buying a candle! Can we quickly go back and talk about this jar though? Isn't it soo pretty?! I thought it would end up being a great makeup brush holder, once the candle has all been used up, so for £4 this is a steal and has a multipurpose use - bargain!

Pack of Tealight, Wild Orchid & Honey - £1.00
Not gonna lie, these caught my eye as I was paying and I thought they would be a great blog photography prop - just because they're baby pink and super girly and they were only a pound! This is the same scent as the first candle, so obviously I'll also use them for their intended purpose..

I was very pleasantly surprised with Primark's candle section and I will definitely be going back there to stock up on some more, the next time I'm in town! They're so inexpensive yet still hold their scent, which is obviously really important. I would recommend going and checking their section of candles out, if you haven't already, as I think you'll all be as pleased as I was!

Have you ever purchased a candle from Primark before?xoxo

GUIDE | Mother's Day Gifts

Mother's Day is fast approaching and it's always great to treat the woman who does absolutely everything for you! I've put together a little gift guide of items, that I know my mum, and plenty of other mums, would be happy to receive this Mother's Day!

Perisecco - Apple, Elderflower & Pear & Posh Chocolates
A good bottle of alcohol and a box of chocolate is always a winner - what woman doesn't love chocolate?! Also, I have recently got into Perisecco and it's soo yummy. They also do different flavours - the watermelon one is soo good!

Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Perfume
Both myself and my mum wear this perfume and it smells gorgeous! It's a silky white amber fragrance which has top notes of mandarin, bergamot, rosewood, lavender and apple martini - Y U M. So it's quite a fresh yet ever so slightly musky scent. It's also quite inexpensive for a perfume, which is great if you're on a budget!

Molton Brown Hand Cream Set (Christmas Version: Pink Pepperpod, Dewy Lily of the Valley and Star Anise & Rhubarb and Rose)
My boyfriend actually bought this gift set for my mum as a Christmas present. She absolutely loved it because she's constantly moisturising her hands. Every single one of Molton Brown's products smell i n c r e d i b l e and these hand creams are certainly no exception. If you fancy splurging on your mum or gifting her something a little more luxurious, then this will definitely go down an absolute treat.

Cerruti 1881 Perfume
This is my mum's signature fragrance and whenever I smell it, it instantly reminds me of her. She's repurchased (or been re gifted) this perfume a countless number of times, she loves it that much. It's definitely a more mature scent and this always goes down well as a gift for her.

Cath Kidston Mini Hand Cream Set
Everything about Cath Kidston is just so girly and pretty and cute and I just love it (and so does my mum). I know this another hand cream set, but I told ya my mum loves herself some hand cream! These are all floral scented and smell lush* (*Bristolian term meaning; lovely/great/amazing).

Other gift ideas;

Jewellery - I always think of Pandora, as you can normally get a really lovely and personalised charm for you mum, along with the bracelet of course (if she doesn't already have one!).
A bunch of flowers - I don't know about you but my mum is o b s e s s e d with flowers and absolutely loves receiving them. So flowers are always most definitely a winner in my house!
Book - If your mum is into reading then this would make a great gift.
Skincare/lotion set - Mum's don't often get to pamper themselves, as they're always running around trying to take care and look after everyone else. So buying them a beauty/pamper set will give them an excuse to look after themselves, for once!
A voucher (for example; massage, facial, shopping, spa etc.) - I don't know many people who don't enjoy a massage of some form and facials always feel like such a treat. Also, who doesn't love shopping and buying things for themselves?
Concert/show ticket - This is what my sister and I have chosen to gift our mum this Mother's Day, as Bristol Hippodrome is currently showing The Wedding Singer - which my mum loves!
A meal out - Taking your mum out for lunch or dinner is always a winner, as it means they then don't have to cook!

I hope this little gift guide has helped to inspire you if you're stuck on what to gift your mum this Mother's Day. There are obviously endless gifts and ideas that any mum would be more than appreciative of!

BEAUTY | Underrated Beauty Products

These are some seriously underrated beauty products that need to be raved about...
I feel as though all of these products are not talked about enough - maybe I'm just living under a rock and haven't heard people mention them, but I read enough blogs and watch enough YouTube videos to see that all of these products aren't being raved about (in my opinion anyway)!
Most of these products are new to my beauty collection and I'm so glad I discovered them. Today they will be given the limelight, to shine and show off how amazing they are.

Lipcoté Browcote - £6.99
I received this little gem in a Glossybox (I think it was December's edition) and I cannot recommend this brow gel enough. I've been looking for a brow gel to replace my Benefit Gimme Brow, but at half the price and I believe I have found it in this little guy. I couldn't be more pleased. It's like super glue for your eyebrows, minus the sort of crusty (I'm so sorry, such a horrible word..) feeling you get when they set in place. It's the perfect size and I love how tiny the applicator is.

NailsInc Nail Polish, Coleville Mews (only available in Gel) - £15.00
I love shades like this, nude's but with a little bit of something to them. I love the more grey toned nudes as well. I received this in a Cohorted beauty box back at the end of 2015 (have you noticed the theme of beauty box love yet?) and I was excited to try it out. I had never tried a NailsInc polish before, but boy was I impressed! The staying and non-chipping power of this nail polish is insane - if I remember rightly, this polish lasted a week on my nails before chipping and even then the chipping was minimal. Very bloody impressive!

YSL Touche Éclat Foundation - £31.50
Another new edition to my makeup collection. I took the plunge and decided to purchase this foundation, as I had heard a couple of great reviews but I wanted to try it for myself. The colour match is perfect - it gives me enough warmth and colour to my corpse like pale face, without looking like it's five shades too dark for me. It lasts all day and just keeps on looking better throughout the day. It gives you a flawless looking finish, that isn't too matte or dewy - it's basically the perfect foundation and you all n e e d it in your makeup loving lives.

Ciate London Wonderland Mascara - £19.50
I briefly spoke about this mascara in my Chloe Morello palette post and it's safe to say that it's been a massive hit with me. I never normally like mascara's like this one - what with the fat wand that normally makes my lashes clumpy - but I seem to be loving it at the moment, paired with my Benefit Roller Lash. They seem to be a match made in heaven right now and I've been using them together pretty much every day!

Garner Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash, 200ml - £3.99 £2.66

Now this is something you all need to go out and buy now! If you thought the normal Micellar water was good, this stuff is even better and it washes your face at the same time - win win!? There is literally no makeup left on my face whatsoever after I have used this facial wash and it's awesome - super quick and easy and so affordable.

The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops, Darkening - £10.00
I purchased this bottle of darkening drops (that will last you absolutely ages by the way) towards the end of last year, after I had been away on holiday and my foundation was just ever so slightly too light for me. At first, when I mixed these drops with my foundation it sort of made it go a slightly weird grey shade, but once applied to my face the colour match was perfect and not grey at all! I would definitely recommend these to anyone over purchasing the same expensive foundation in a darker colour!

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick, Sincere - £15.00
Now I don't know why, but I really have not heard much at all about theBalm's liquid lipsticks. I'm hoping my post will make them a little more popular, as they are soo understated and deserve a lot more attention and fuss than they get! To be honest, I purchased this on a whim because I was intrigued to see the quality of these liquid lipsticks as most of theBalm's products are amazing. I was definitely not disappointed at all! This lipstick is one of the best liquid lipsticks I've tried - the longevity is great, they're not drying at all and the pigmentation is as expected - i n s a n e. This lipstick also smells amazing, it's got a minty chocolate vibe to it - sort of like an After Eight!

There are some of the products that I think are underrated in the beauty world at this moment in time! They're all such great products and I would recommend all of them. They're all also fairly new products in my collection, which I love because I don't normally venture away from my normal day-to-day products.
So if you're thinking about taking the plunge and purchasing any of these products, then I urge you to!

BEAUTY | My First Wedding

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity of doing my friend's wedding makeup, on Saturday 18th Feb. Here's how I got on..
My beautiful friend Beth very recently got married and I was so happy (and very nervous) to be asked to do her and her bridesmaids makeup!
I always thought that makeup would be the career path I took, however my lack of confidence has seriously held me back with this. I love makeup and I love making people feel pretty and confident within themselves, so this was a pretty big deal for me.
I absolutely loved how all of the makeup on the girl's turned out and I was surprisingly shocked with all of the amazing feedback I received, it was definitely not something I was expecting and I was sooo pleased - I literally could not stop smiling all day!

I was, surprisingly, chilled out whilst doing Beth's makeup, as she's naturally very pretty so it wasn't difficult to enhance what she already had. Beth also wanted a more natural/minimal look - which I think is great for your wedding day, as you don't want to be completely caked in it. I always find natural makeup looks better in the photographs as well.

All of the bridesmaids were awesome. I didn't stop laughing with them all morning and they really put me at ease, which was really important for me to be able to get the outcome I wanted. Again, a natural look was created on them so that they all matched the bride and looked similar - which was great because I prefer creating a more natural look on other people, as this is normally the look I tend to wear a lot.

I really enjoyed myself and it was definitely great practice. I'm only used to putting makeup on myself and my sister, so it was good to do a variety of very different girls - all with different features, skin tones and eye & eyebrow shape/colour.
I'm hoping that the more I practice, the better and more confident I'll get.

Whilst doing the makeup, I decided to take a few snaps of the girls getting ready. As you all know, I love photography as well and this is also something I need to practice a lot more. Also, their hair was too beautiful not to photograph!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing the looks I created!xoxo

TIPS | 5 Great Ways to Declutter Your Wardrobe

Here are a few tips to help declutter your wardrobe...
I'm always conscious of the fact that I own too many items of clothing (I also get told this on a daily basis *cough* mum and boyfriend *cough*), but I just can't help it! I love clothes way too much! I'm such a hoarder when it comes to clothing as well and I always dread the thought of throwing stuff out, even though I literally only wear half of my wardrobe..
So I thought this post would be a great idea to share to try and help some of my fellow clothing hoarder's (I see you..).

1. Take a step back and l o o k - what immediately catches your eye and makes you think 'do I really need this?'.

2. Grab a section at a time - this helps with the process of elimination as you can clearly see everything you have, but in small doses so it's not overwhelming. I find I definitely get rid of more this way.

3. Try it on - if you're unsure about throwing something out, try it on first and think to yourself 'will I actually wear this again?' 'is it really 'me'?'. I try so many of my clothes on to get the confirmation I need to throw it away. Sometimes things just don't fit how they used to, or may seem a bit young and unflattering now you haven't worn it in a while.

4. Be r u t h l e s s - I know it sounds silly, but throwing away clothes can be a little difficult and daunting sometimes. Especially when you've spent money on them and have only worn that particular item once or twice, but it's better to get rid of it than to hoard it and run out of space for newer entries.

5. Double check - I always do this. I go back through my wardrobe again and most of the items that have been a 'maybe', normally end up being a no and then I've got rid of even more - which always makes me a lot happier and more satisfied.

These are just a few simple tips I follow to ensure I'm not keeping hold of any unwanted clothing, that is taking up unnecessary space in my wardrobe.
I do admit though, that when I move out I will have/own a walk-in wardrobe. I've always dreamed of having one of these, but the decluttering won't stop when I do have one (I hope)!

MONTHLY | Instagram & Blog Faves - February

It's that time of the month again!
No, not that time.. The time where I share the Instagram and Blog love! I love putting this post together because it's always nice to discover new talent, or just acknowledge and support fellow bloggers.
I feel like there's not enough positivity being spread around the blogging world at the moment - there seems to be a lot of unnecessary jealousy and lack of support, or at least it feels like that at the minute anyway.
At the end of the day, we're all just girls and boys sharing our passions on the internet and all working just as hard as one another.

Anyway, my favourite Instagram and blog posts of the month are right here and I'm sure you'll all love them just as much as I do!
