HAUL | A Little Feel Unique Order

Look who had a mini Feel Unique order, again...
I put my hands up and admit that I 100% did not need to make this Feel Unique order, but it's happened now and I thought why not treat myself. It also gives me something to talk about on the blog and if that's not a reason to buy yourself something, then I don't know what is!
(Everything is on sale as well, so how could I not have a mini splurge!?)

Tanya Burr Nail Polish, Peaches & Cream - £4.99 £1.45
I saw this shade online and thought it was super cute, perfect for Spring/Summer and I love the shade name. Anything peach I am all over - it's one of my fave colours. I have a few Tanya Burr nail polishes in my collection now and I'm pretty pleased with the quality of them to be honest. I also love the packaging they're housed in, it's very simple yet stylish.

Tanya Burr Nail Polish, Penguin Chick - £4.99 £0.95
How can you not pick up a nail polish called 'Penguin Chick' that's only 95p?! What an absolute bargain and the name of this shade is super cute. I love wearing grey nail polishes and I don't think I have enough of them in my collection yet, so I'm gonna keep buying them!

Maybelline New York Fit Me Concealer, Fair - £5.99 £3.95
I don't really 'do' concealer, only because it creases under my eyes really badly and makes me look about 10 years older than I actually am.. But I thought I'd give this one a try and see if it was any different. To be honest, it doesn't crease as badly as other concealers I've tried but it still does crease a bit. I tried applying eye cream under my eyes the other day before using this and it actually made quite a big difference - I was surprised! So I may continue to do this and then this concealer will probably end up becoming a fave of mine, even though it would have been the eye cream that fixed my problem..

Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara, Very Intense Black - £7.99 £5.30
I definitely did not need another mascara but hey, what's a girl to do when a mascara is being raved about s o o much? I really like the wand of this mascara and it applies a nice even coat of mascara to my lashes, ensuring that they don't clump. It also seems to stay that lovely sort of dry that isn't flaky and I actually accidentally fell asleep wearing this mascara last night (bad, I know!), and when I woke up it was still in tact and hadn't smudged all over my face giving me the dreaded panda eyes - result!

Maybelline New York Colour Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick, Nude Thrill - £6.99 £4.60
I also didn't need another liquid lipstick, because I don't even wear the ones I have at the moment.. But I keep telling myself that there will come a day when I want to wear liquid lipstick a lot, so I just keep stocking up. I'm also a sucker for nude shades, so obviously I opted for Nude Thrill - no questions asked! I had been tempted to purchase one of the vivid matte liquid lipsticks before, but always denied myself of one - probably because I didn't actually need it.. I'm looking forward to how this wears and holds up though, so I will report back with my findings!

I haven't tried very many products from Maybelline, I tend to purchase from a wide variety of brands rather than one specific one. I'm making it my mission this year to buy more raved about products and also to buy more from lower end brands.
Obviously within reason and without spending too much money of course, otherwise that will jeopardise my saving goal for this year!

What have you bought from the 'drugstore' so far this year?xoxo

BEAUTY | Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette Review

Today I'm reviewing the ever popular Sleek highlighting palette and I love it..
I'd always heard of this highlighting palette, but I'm not keen on bright yellow and pink highlighters as I just find them a bit too much.
However, when I heard Jaclyn Hill raving about this palette on her snapchat story and sharing swatches on her cheekbones, I knew I had to have it (she always makes everything so much more appealing..).

The packaging is nice and lightweight and also compact - which makes it great for travel. I also love that this palette is gold, as it gives it more of a luxury feel.

Shades, Left to Right: Equinox, Subsolar, Hemisphere & Ecliptic

Ecliptic (Cream) - A creamy bronze highlighting shade

Hemisphere (Powder) - A lilac/pink highlighting shade

Subsolar (Powder) - A pastel yellow highlighting shade

Equinox (Powder) - A peach/gold highlighting shade

All of these shades are really pigmented (especially for an inexpensive highlight palette) and buttery smooth. They're also super easy to apply and there's no chunky bits of glitter in sight.
A little bit of this palette definitely goes a long way once applied to the highest point of your cheekbones, and this palette is such good value for money! I mean, you get four highlighting shades for £9.99 - that's pretty much £2.50 per highlighter!?

I also love how lightweight the packaging is, some may think this feels a little cheap but I would much rather carry around something that may feel a bit 'cheap', that is much lighter in weight!

What are your thoughts on this Sleek highlighting palette?xoxo

PREVIEW | Ciate x Chloe Morello Beauty Haul

I finally got my hands on the Chloe Morello x Ciate London Beauty Haul, here are my thoughts...
I had been debating whether or not to purchase this for a while, when I heard Chloe announce on her snapchat that once it was gone it would be gone forever. Now I'm a bit of a sucker for limited edition makeup products, so obviously I just thought 'why not?' and bought it!
I'm so glad I did because all of the shades in the eyeshadow palette suit me down to a T - I reckon I'll use every single shade!

When I swatched all of the shades for this blog post, I noticed that each eyeshadow is really creamy and pigmented - the fact that they're creamy usually means that they're pretty blendable, so I'm excited to create a look using this palette.
Most people won't enjoy the fact that there are five beautiful purple shades, but this was the selling point for me because I a d o r e purple eyeshadows.
There are a lot of warm/brown shades, so you would definitely be getting your money's worth even if you only used those shades and avoided the purple/blue shades. However, I definitely know that I will use every colour that this palette has to offer.

I have quickly become obsessed with this mascara. I use it in conjunction with my Benefit Roller Lash mascara and the combination of these two gives me the most voluminous and long, black lashes ever! I mean who doesn't want that!?

The shade of this lipstick is p e r f e c t and it's of such a great consistency. It also lasts well on the lips and is a great mini size - also handy for travelling! I feel like this shade will suit a wide range of different skin tones and look different on everybody.

Shades Left to Right: Skinny Dip, Unconditional, On Fire, Queen Bee & Shine Bright

Skinny Dip - The perfect neutral brown crease/transition shade. Great for starting off any eye makeup look.

Unconditional - Slightly more warm in tone that Skinny Dip. Another great crease or transition shade with a slight orange undertone.

On Fire - A lovely medium chocolate brown shade, perfect for warming up the look to start creating a smokey eye.

Queen Bee - A more grey toned dark brown. This would be good for the outer third of your eye when creating a smokey eye, as it would deepen the look up perfectly.

Shine Bright - A gorgeous true gold shimmer. My absolute favourite shade to pair with all of the above matte's, to create a typical brown smokey eye. All five of these shades would work perfectly together.

Shades Left to Right: Vaycay, My Tribe, Be Sassy, Jet Setter & Happy

Vaycay - A more peachy/gold shimmer shade, that is slightly more subtle that Shine Bright. This would also make a great highlighting shade.

My Tribe - A cream matte. An alternative highlighting shade, or an all over lid shade when priming the eye for other eyeshadows to go over top.

Be Sassy - A lovely pale lilac shade that would be a great transition shade for creating a purple smokey eye.

Jet Setter - A medium true purple, to further define and deepen up the crease after using Be Sassy.

Happy - I l o o o v e this shade. It's sort of a grey/brown/silver shimmer - I can imagine this pulls slightly different shades when the light catches. Great for all over the lid when creating a bold eye look.

Shades Left to Right: Dainty, Fierce, Flirt, Day Dream & Own It

Dainty - This is a very light pale pink/rose gold shimmer - another great highlighting shade.

Fierce - A bright hot pink shimmer shade, with a very slight orange undertone. Not for the faint hearted! A small amount of this eyeshadow would look great in the crease, for a pop of colour.

Flirt - A more warm toned purple than Jet Setter, again great for creating a purple smokey eye.

Day Dream - A deep purple to further deepen up the outer third of your eye, when creating that purple smokey eye that I keep going on about!

Own It - A grey toned navy blue shade, with a slight purple undertone. This is a very unique shade and I've never used a blue eyeshadow before, but I'm excited to see how this could work on me!

Lipstick Swatch: Pin Up

Pin Up - A deep berry toned pink/red. I love it! It's more of a statement shade on my lips, just because I am super pale, but it's not at all over the top and I feel like you could wear this lip shade with almost all of the looks you would create using this palette.

I love that within this palette you have a mixture of matte's and shimmers, warm and cool tones and also different shades from brown, to purple, to blue! It's very versatile and you could create an endless amount of different makeup looks using this palette.
I'm obsessed with the packaging. It's super cute. This palette is also nice and lightweight, but it feels sturdy as well and not cheap at all!

LIFESTYLE | My Dream Vanity/Dressing Table

My dream vanity (or dressing table here in the UK) would be chic and simplistic, yet feminine...
My current dressing table I bought from House of Fraser (I pretty much had to take a loan out for the bloody thing..) and, to be honest, it is my dream dressing table and I will never replace it!
However, there are similar (and cheaper) shabby chic/vintage options out there like mine. For example, this Castleton Home one and also this Toulouse White one.

I've decided to put together a little mood board, in a sort of wishlist type of way, of items I would purchase - should money be no object - to create my dream makeup space!
I have also included other dreamy vanity's that I think are just as pretty as mine.

I really love how this mood board has turned out and hopefully this is something I can do more of on a regular basis. I think it looks so pretty and I love including the writing with the photo's!
I also can't wait to do more lifestyle posts (once I eventually sort out my mess that is my room..) and show you guys my room! Also, I'll hopefully be moving out next year so expect lots and lots of these sorts of posts towards the end of the year!

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

This post has been inspired by Arhaus, as they encouraged me to share this post with you all today. After browsing their website and seeing their beautiful pieces, I more than happily agreed to create this post. It's something I've never done before and I'm so glad that I did because I really enjoyed putting it together. As always, all opinion are honest and my own (mainly because I'm an extremely bad liar).

What would your dream vanity (dressing table) look like?xoxo

GUIDE | Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

A Valentine's Day gift guide, for her...
I thought I'd do something a little different today, rather than my usual 'wishlist' style gift guide. I pulled a few different things out of my wardrobe and drawers, that I thought would be great to receive as a little Valentine's gift (or just a present for you because nobody ever said that you can spend too much money on yourself..).
Obviously there are the usual things to buy, such as flowers and chocolate, but if you wanted to gift the one you love with something a little extra, then I have a few ideas for you.

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick, Sincere - £15.00
I haven't spoken much here on my blog about this liquid lipstick by theBalm, and to be honest I'm not sure why because it's incredible. The pigmentation and longevity of this lipstick is amazing and it sort of has a chocolate/mint scent to it, the mint makes your lips tingle a tiny little bit in a fresh way which is really cool and it smells soo nice.

Too Faced Natural Eyeshadow Palette - £32.00 (post here)
I have spoken in depth about this palette here on my blog before and I love it. It's such a great 'natural palette - as the name suggests - and you could easily take just this one palette on your travels with you, and be able to create a few different looks with it. It's a little bit of a more expensive gift for Valentine's Day, but it's definitely worth it's price tag.

Giorgio Armani Sî Perfume - £52.00-£99.00
Definitely another luxury item for sure, but a perfume is a great gift to give to someone you love on Valentine's Day and Sî is definitely more of a seductive scent. It's very strong and lasts all day, which I love.

Sass & Belle Love You To The Moon and Back Heart Trinket Dish - £6.00
This is such a cute little gift that's also quite meaningful, to gift a jewellery lover or someone who loves more of a sentimental gift. It's the perfect size and isn't too big and bulky. It's also inexpensive if you're either on a budget, or prefer not to gift give on Valentine's Day.

Other ideas for a Valentine's gift are:

  • Trip/weekend away together
  • Spa day
  • Phone case (personalised)
  • Jewellery
  • DVD/Book
  • Gift voucher
  • Makeup/Clothes
  • Photo frame with a photo of you both
  • Flowers & Chocolates
  • PS4/Xbox game
  • Trainers
Most of these ideas will be suitable for either your boyfriend or girlfriend!

What would you add to this list for Valentine's Day gifts?xoxo

FASHION | The £25 Block Roll Neck Jumper

I don't do many fashion posts here on CharsLittleBlog, mainly because I always forget and another reason is because I don't really receive much feedback at all - so I'm not sure if you guy's even like my fashion! But this jumper is just too amazing not to share!

I didn't intend on buying this roll neck (don't we all say this??), it just kind of fell into my hands - and by that I mean I saw it, quickly walked over, grabbed it, tried it on and instantly knew it was p e r f e c t.

I was only supposed to be in The Mall (shopping centre near to where I live) to get my silly iPhone fixed, when they gave me an hour to kill so, naturally, I went shopping and dragged my super excited - not - boyfriend with me.

Anyway, this jumper is awesome and super comfy. Nice and fairly thick to keep you warm, whilst it's baltic outside at the moment and it also makes you look like you've made an effort with your outfit - win, win!

Shop my look here:
Jumper - £25 | Jeans - £35 £26 | Trainers (similar styles here) - £30-£100

Should I do more fashion related posts?xoxo
