What to Watch | Netflix ♡

Now I feel like Netflix has sort of calmed down a bit, I felt like sharing some of the shows and movie's that I have watched and really enjoyed. Netflix was kind of really hectic with everyone talking about it the past few months and I didn't want to join in with bombarding you with 'you should watch this, this and this' as I feel like there was a time when e v e r y o n e was doing this!

So now it's settled down slightly I thought that I would let you guys know what I have thoroughly enjoyed watching. Some of these you would have heard enough of and other's may be completely new to you.

1. Pretty Little Liars
To most people, this recommendation will come as no surprise as some of you will be thinking 'yeah yeah, we've all been there done that and got the t-shirt'.. However, some of you will be like me and will be thinking 'what even is all this "A" drama about'. Everyone in the world has jumped on the PLL bandwagon and loved it. I watched six season's in about 2 or 3 months and was instantly hooked. I won't bang on about what this show is all about (mainly because I'm SO bad at describing TV show's and movie's..) but you basically just have to watch it. It's gripping and the storyline is insane. You can read a brief description of Pretty Little Liars here.

2. Making A Murderer
Again, another one most of you have probably heard of as it took over social media. If you like documentaries then you'll love this show - it's very interesting and keeps you guessing about whether Steven Avery is guilty or not guilty (personally I think he's innocent..) of all the charges he has been convicted of. You can read a brief description of Making A Murderer here.

3. Aloha!
For me, this is one of those film's that I could watch more than once. The three main actor's are three of my favourite's and Emma Stone is just brilliant in this film. Obviously it's a rom com because I am obsessed, but it's just so good! I don't remember this being advertised at the cinema and the first I saw of it was on Netflix. Definitely give this a watch if you're into rom com's like I am. You can read a brief description of Aloha here.

4. How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is a new show that my boyfriend recently got me into and I won't lie, I've literally watched like two episodes! So I can't really 'recommend' this TV series as I haven't actually watched it all the way through yet.. However, I definitely feel like this is a 'feel good' TV series to get into - you don't have to concentrate whilst watching it which makes this show easy to watch. You can read a brief description of How I Met Your Mother here.

5. Planet Earth

I love documentaries and especially ones that are narrated by David Attenborough, there's just something about his voice that makes them more interesting.. There are eleven different documentaries within this series covering all areas such as the sea, fresh water, jungles, deserts, etc. If you love your animal documentaries then this is definitely a series that you should consider watching. You can read a brief description of Planet Earth here.

6. How Do You Know
Oh look, another rom com! Reese Witherspoon is one of my all time favourite actresses and I have enjoyed pretty much every single film that she's been in and this one is no exception. I've watched this film two or three times now and I can't see myself getting bored of watching it! You can read a brief description of How Do You Know here.

7. Sherlock
I've recently started watching Sherlock (I know, bit late on the bandwagon as per usual!) and so far I've been enjoying it. I'm not the brightest spark around so I do have to concentrate fairly hard when watching this but I am obsessed with murder mysteries so I don't mind. Sherlock's character has an unusual personality but I love it and find it really funny. You can read a brief description of Sherlock here.

8. Burlesque
Christina Aguilera's voice is just incredible and any film that's dedicated to her singing definitely appeals to me. This film is so great and show case's so much talent with two legends - Cher and Christina. Again, it's another romance film (did you expect anything less?). You can read a brief description of Burlesque here.

What do you recommend to watch on Netflix?xoxo

My 4 Highlighters... ♡

It's time to talk about my highlighter collection. This post has definitely been a long time coming as I am obsessed with highlighter's and I do love mine pretty intense and noticeable. I'm normally fairly understated and although when I wear makeup I use quite a few different products on my face, I like to think that I'm not normally caked in it nor do I look 'fake' or extremely different without makeup on - if you know what I mean? I like my makeup to enhance what's already there.

So, I own four highlighter's in total now and they're all completely different shades that would suit all different type of skin tones.

I have MAC Soft & Gentle, Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm, Champagne Pop by Becca Cosmetics and Benefit High Beam. Two of them are more subtle and natural-looking and the other two, well.. Let's just say that they're not for the faint hearted!

When I wear makeup I never skip the highlighting step because, to me, it just ties my whole makeup look together and gives me that extra little pop that I feel is always needed.

Benefit High Beam | Cream Highlighter
Benefit's High Beam is the latest edition to my highlighter collection and it was part of a gift set I received at Christmas time so it's a mini size which is just perfect as I definitely could not use up the normal size! I do have to admit that I wasn't really interested by this product as I have tried it before and it definitely did not wow me. However, I have recently been using it as a base underneath MAC Soft & Gentle to intensify that and it's been working beautifully. I also feel that this cream highlighter would be great for those days when you're not fussed about setting your whole face with powder. It definitely does give quite a subtle glow and because it's a cream I do find it a little hard to blend out evenly but the colour is super pretty and subtle and I reckon I'll be using this a lot more during the Summer months.

MAC Soft & Gentle was the first highlighter that I ever purchased and I was inspired by Shani Grimmond. She used to use this highlighter religiously in her YouTube videos when I first started watching her and I was only just interested in makeup at that time and this was definitely the perfect first highlighter to kick start my addiction with. It's described as a 'gilded peach bronze' which I do agree with to a certain extent, I definitely think it's more bronze than peach but it gives this very natural looking sun kissed glow to your cheeks that is perfect for anyone looking for naturally highlighted cheeks. I don't use this as much as I used to but I still love it a lot and would recommend it to anyone.

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer | Powder Highlighter
I waited a fairly long time to purchase Mary-Lou Manizer and I honestly couldn't tell you why. I can tell you though that I do regret waiting as long as I did because she is an absolute beaut of a highlighter. A perfect match for you fair skinned gals out there as it's quite a yellow/white based highlighter that diffuses to a very light shimmer on your cheeks. This highlighter can definitely be made as intense as you desire but it can also be subtle if you apply a minimal amount to your brush.

Oh my goodness, the best news ever - Cult Beauty now stock Champagne Pop which means us UK peeps can now order without the extortionate US shipping costs! I'm super happy about this and this probably hasn't just happened but hey, some of you may be oblivious like me and this is also great news for you! Champagne Pop is my favourite highlighter from the whole bunch and is the one I use on a regular basis. It's very intense and is a perfect apricot/peach/gold highlighter suitable for multiple skin tones. I really don't feel like the apricot/peach undertones show at all once applied to your cheeks as I'm pretty pale (well, my face is anyway and extremely so) and it doesn't show up on me. If you have the money to spend £32 on a highlighter then I recommend it - you will not ever look back I promise!

Swatches L-R: Benefit High Beam, Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and MAC Soft & Gentle
The swatches above have been applied using my finger and I have packed it on just to give a true representation of how different these highlighter's are to one another, however fear not, they do not look like this once applied on the cheeks so don't freak out!

I'll also say that none of these highlighters have huge chunks of glitter in them so don't worry about looking like a glitter ball as this won't happen with any of these little gems.

I am very happy with my highlighter collection as it stands and I cannot wait to add more to it. If you have any recommendations then I would love to hear them, I've seen that Sleek do an amazing highlighting palette that is very affordable so I'll definitely be adding that one to my collection very soon.

What's your favourite highlighter?xoxo

Outfit Of The Day - Sunday 10th April ♡

I love this outfit a lot! I do tend to wear a lot of black so it was really nice to add this faux suede mustard jacket from Missguided to give this outfit a bit more of a Spring appropriate vibe!

(This jacket is actually my sister's, but don't tell her!!)

I wore this outfit to the Mall Cribbs Causeway SS16 Fashion Show that I attended on the weekend with one of my good friend's and we had such a fun time looking at all the new and up coming trends for this Spring summer - such as stripes, lace and bold colours.

I'm really loving this transition into Spring fashion at the moment and I'm hoping to wear a lot more colour and a lot less black!

I paired the mustard jacket with a black roll neck (a very thin one though) that had three quarter length sleeves, a quilted short black skirt, black tights, black leather boots and also my beloved black Michael Kors bag.

I quite enjoyed this little OOTD edition to my blog so I might try and do these a little more often as I do love fashion just as much as I love beauty! Let me know if you guy's would like to see more fashion type post's from me.

What will be your key piece for this Spring/Summer?xoxo

Our Trip to Center Parcs ♡

I thought that I would share with you guys my little long weekend trip to Center Parcs that I went on last month because, let's face it, who doesn't love Center Parcs?!

We started off our trip on a lovely and sunny Friday morning from Bristol to Bath with a good old sing a long in the car. About an hour and a bit later we arrived at Center Parcs and I literally could not contain my excitement!

(I know, I'm literally a child but at least I have fun hey?)

We were staying in Center Parcs Friday through to the following Monday and it was so nice to get away from everything - especially work.

On our first day we just settled in and watched telly, grateful to be relaxing. I think I was even watching the Disney channel - Phineas and Ferb was on and I just love that show.

(Did I mention that I'm a child? Oh yeah, so I did..)

In the evening, it was 'fajita friday' and what a good bloody evening that is right? It was such a nice evening with my boyfriend's family and it was really lovely for us to all be together.

Saturday was the day where everything got quite competitive whilst playing Badminton. I've inserted above a little action shot of Kieran an I *trying* to play and I think it's fair to say that our team lost.. Let's just say that we weren't bad at it, it was just that the other's were better? It was so much fun though and now I really want a Badminton court in my back garden.

We decided to go to the Grand Café for a light bite to eat for lunch - Kieran had Carrot & Coriander soup and I treated myself to toasted Pitta slices with Hummus and Olives accompanied by a side of chips.

In the evening we strolled on over to Strada for some dinner and I treated myself to a Peach Bellini (which, by the way, is super yummy).

After dinner, we went back to our lodge and watched a film before hitting our head's on the pillow and falling straight to sleep.

On Sunday we woke up and it was really lovely and sunny which instantly put me in a very good mood.

My mood that day was also greatly helped by the fact that we ate lunch at the one and only Pancake House (insert heart eyed emoji). If you've never heard of the Pancake House then I definitely recommend trying it out - you really won't regret it!

Today was also the day of 'picture posing time' - we took full advantage of the sun being out, of course. P.S. I really am this short..

I'm so annoyed at myself that I didn't get any photo's of us all playing Crazy Golf! This game definitely got a little heated and I think you'll find that a little bit of cheating occurred *ahem, Kieran*..

Crazy Golf was so much fun and I actually won out of our team of four (pictured above) so I did actually beat Kieran even though he tried to cheat a couple of times! So I may not be too great at Badminton, but hey I can win a game of Crazy Golf so all is good.

In the evening, Kieran and I were supposed to go for an Indian but unfortunately Kieran was feeling a little under the weather so we settled with jam toast instead and went to bed pretty early.

It was our last day on Monday (always a sad day..) and Kieran and I decided to treat ourselves to a peaceful little spa day which was so relaxing and a great end to the holiday!

Neither of us had ever been to the Aqua Sana before but I can imagine that we will definitely be going back.

We decided against having treatments as they were a little too expensive for our small budget, so instead we had 3 hours of use of the spa area which included this cute jacuzzi pool that is sort of in a courtyard outside, along with multiple steam room's and a large sauna.

We also had lunch in the Vitale Café which was actually quite a weird experience as everyone was eating in their robe's with their swimming wear on underneath.. I found it quite strange because we were also all sat with no shoes on. It may not seem weird to you guys but for some reason it was for me!

After our 3 hour session at the spa it was time to drive back home and resume life as normal - with no rapids, no sleeping in, no staying up late and certainly no spa's.

I had such a fun time and I will definitely continue to go back to Center Parcs year after year. I would love to go to the other Center Parc's located over the UK and see how they all differ from each other and decide which one is my fave.

So that was my trip to Center Parcs, I hope you all enjoyed having a little nose and finding out what I got up to.

Have you ever been to Center Parcs?xoxo

P.S. How many times did I say 'Center Parcs' in this post?!

Eyeshadow Review | Too Faced 'Natural Eyes' Palette ♡

I have had this palette in my collection for some time now yet I've never posted on my blog about it and I have no idea why!? So, I decided that today was the day that I would share my love for this gorgeous palette by Too Faced.

As the name suggests, this palette is very natural looking with your typical neutral, warm browns and gold shades. I can honestly say that I truly love every single shade within this palette and that's normally pretty rare for me (I'm quite picky you see..) so that just speaks for itself really.

Top Row: L-R Heaven, Cashmere Bunny, Sexspresso

Heaven (matte)
Pale, creamy white shade. Perfect as an all over lid shade to prime the eyes or a lovely and subtle brow bone matte highlight shade.

Cashmere Bunny (matte)
Warm toned light brown shade. Brilliant as a transition shade in the crease.

Sexspresso (matte)
Warm toned dark brown shade. I love using this shade in the outer third to deepen it up and create a smokey look.

Middle Row: L-R Silk Teddy, Push-Up, Erotica

Silk Teddy (shimmer)
Pearly, pink/champagne shade. Gorgeous as an all over lid shade over the top of Heaven - this creates a stunning subtle shimmer to your eyelids for an everyday look.

Push-Up (shimmer)
Medium toned bronze/brown shade. Great for a shimmery smokey eye all over the lid.

Erotica
Dark taupe-y brown shade. Looks striking applied all over the lid for a heavy smokey eye or looks just as nice applied to the outer third for a more subtle smokey eye.

Bottom Row: L-R Nudie, Honeypot, Chocolate Martini

Nudie (matte)
Cooler toned light brown shade. I love using this as my first transition shade in the crease before I apply Cashmere Bunny.

Honeypot (shimmer)
Gold/copper shade. Possibly my favourite shade within this palette - I love using this all over the eyelid or just applied on the inner third of my eye creating a sort of 'ombré' eyeshadow look.

Chocolate Martini (shimmer)
Very dark brown shade. Again, used on the outer third of the eye to create a smokey look.

All of the shades are super pigmented and very easy to blend, alongside being creamy as well. I love the packaging - I think it's super cute and is just Too Faced all over.

The price of this palette is £32 which, at a first glance, doesn't seem that reasonable. However, when you actually come to using this palette you will totally understand why it is that price. I don't think it's all that expensive considering how long eyeshadow palette's last, but that's just my opinion and I can see why some people wouldn't buy this palette due to the price.

Just take my word for it when I say that it's AMAZING and if you're a neutral/warm brown lover then you will love it.

Do you own this 'Natural Eyes' palette by Too Faced? What are your thoughts?xoxo

Blogpost Ideas (If you're stuck for them!) ♡

Sometimes it can be really difficult to post content on your blog, especially if you don't always have the time or correct lighting to be able to take pictures. So I thought that I would put together a little list of ideas that I use when I'm feeling a little stuck and don't have the resources for taking some photograph's.
  1. Wishlist - Creating wishlists are a great way to be able to get a post up without having to take your own pictures. I normally do Homeware, Clothing, Makeup & Outfit wishlists and these tend to go down quite well. Everyone loves seeing other people's wishlists as it also gives them inspiration for what they may like for themselves.
  2. Favourites - You can either make a list of your favourite YouTuber's, Bloggers or Instagram pages (Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) and share them with your blogging friends so that they can see the type's of people that you enjoy following and can also give them a cheeky follow if they find them as interesting as you do. This certain category includes a whole range of different ideas.
  3. Lists - Creating lists about your favourite things about a certain something (whether that be Winter, Summer, Christmas, Easter, etc.) can be really engaging and these are definitely posts that I enjoy writing as it reminds me of the good things about certain time's during the year.
  4. Advice - Writing advice posts is always a great way of interacting with those who read your blog and it's great to hear other people's ideas on the same subjects, whether that be school, university, working life, relationships, etc. it's always really nice to give your advice on certain situations that other people can use in their day-to-day life.
  5. Tips & Tricks - I love reading 'Tips' posts. I always stumble across something that I had never thought of doing before and they can be super useful. Most bloggers write tips about blogging but it doesn't necessarily have to be something like that if you don't feel confident with it - find something you feel confident giving tips about. These types of posts are also extremely helpful, I've learnt a lot from reading them.
  6. Guides - This could be a nice little gift guide sharing your own ideas for up coming events such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas Presents under £15 or Luxury Christmas Presents, etc. I always find these helpful especially if you are stuck for gift ideas and have no idea what to gift a loved one with!
  7. Holiday Destinations - Creating a list (including Google image photo's of course..) of holiday destinations that you would love to travel to could be a great idea. I'm always wondering where the best places to go on holiday are and creating a little list would be a fun way of finding this out. It's also something different to try out.
  8. Wallpapers - I have seen a lot of these type's of posts flying around recently. Looking on app's/website's such as Pinterest can help you to gather pretty images that you would like to use as a background on your phone and placing these together in a post with links to where you found them is great for those who are bored of their normal background that they have had for a while and they fancy a little change. I always love looking through wallpaper's that other people have found and loved.
  9. Ideas - By this I mean maybe something like Date Night ideas or Fun Things to do on the Weekend, etc. You can include photo's that you've previously taken some time ago that fit the theme of whatever you are writing about (just like my image above of a diary with a pen) and you're good to go! Simple as that.
  10. Personal - A lot of bloggers tend to write a few personal posts now and then, whether it be about their health, how they feel about exercising or simply what they have been up to that day. It's always really interesting to know more personal things about a blogger you follow and maybe that's something you would feel comfortable about writing about. I've never really posted anything personal on my blog before as I don't personally feel like my readers would be interested but if it's something that you feel you're readers would be intrigued about, then go for it. I can imagine that the words would flow effortlessly if you were writing about something a little more personal.
So, there are a few ideas of mine if you can't always find the time to take 'Instagram worthy' photo's for your blog to go with a planned post. Some of these ideas are a little time consuming but it's fun so it doesn't feel like a chore at all. Let me know if you use any of these idea's for yourself as I'd love to know.

Which is your favourite idea from this list?xoxo
