Nars Sheer Glow Foundation | Review ♡

Firstly, I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS FOUNDATION. Oh my goodness, if I could insert singing angels right now then I totally would! I know that you may think I'm crazy/over-exaggerating/weird buuuuut, this foundation really is worth the hype.

It took me a little while to actually jump on the band wagon and splurge £31 on this foundation, but I eventually did and I am now kicking myself for not being more of a sheep (baaa) a bit earlier. You know, sometimes it IS ok to follow the crowd - as long as they know what they're talking about, and they definitely did with this little gem.
I'm not normally one for trying different foundations because I do have sensitive skin and I'm always really worried that I'll wake up the following day from trying out a new foundation and I'll be covered in a rash or dreaded spots! So you may say that I'm a little bit of a wuss (oh trust me, you don't even know the half of it..) but that's just the way I feel.
I have been using my trusty Hello Flawless Benefit foundation for goodness knows how long now and I knew it was time for a change. I needed something that would cover up the redness on my nose area but that also wouldn't be cakey - I just cannot stand face paint foundation (yes MAC, I'm implying you!).
As soon as the lady in the Nars section of House of Fraser informed me that the Sheer Glow foundation is meant for people who suffer with redness as it has properties in it to help/combat, I immediately knew that this foundation and I would be a match made in heaven. I already guessed my colour as I am always the palest with yellow undertones, so Gobi was the one for me.

The first day I wore this foundation I was really impressed, it lasted the whole day (which I have never experienced before because I never wear foundation that long, I'm a bit of a plain jane you see), didn't go patchy, covered the redness (hale-bloody-lujah!) AND I didn't feel like I was wearing anything, uh-huh, it felt wonderful.
If you're contemplating purchasing this foundation, then I definitely suggest biting the bullet and going for it. This foundation is perfect and there are a great range of shades to suit every skin tone. I always feel like the base to your makeup is one of the most important parts, so splurging on a great foundation, like Nars Sheer Glow, is definitely worth it in my opinion.

So basically Nars Sheer Glow, I FREAKIN' LOVE YOU.

10 Places I'd Love To Travel To ♡

*Image taken from Google here*
1. Australia is definitely number one on my wishlist of places to travel to and see. It looks like an amazing place to visit and it definitely would be an experience. Also, I swear the weather is like glorious pretty much all of the time (compared to England anyway..)
*Image taken from Google here*
2. Bali would be a dream. It looks like an awesome place to visit and would definitely be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Learning from the culture would also be an amazing experience.
*Image taken from Google here*
3. Bora Bora looks insane!! I admit that I first fell in love with the look of this place after watching the Kardashians.. But it is super pretty! Bora Bora would also be really relaxing and I'm hoping to go for my honeymoon (when I get married that is..). The little 'huts' in the water really speak to me and I feel like you would forget all your worries and troubles if you ever had the experience to go there.
*Image taken from Google here*
4. Los Angeles is another dream of mine. You always see it on the TV or in films so I would definitely feel like I was in some sort of American movie.. I've always loved America since the first and only time I have ever been there when I experienced DisneyLand Florida (the best holiday of my whole entire life, hands down!) so I would love to travel America one day and visit all the places I would love to including L.A.
*Image taken from Google here*
5. Sicily. Italian food and I go together perfectly like Mac 'n' Cheese (not a very appealing comparison I know but come on, food?) and I would love to experience traditional Italian food cooked by a true Italian and just eat until my heart is content and be completely and utterly satisfied. I've only ever been to Italy once and let's just say that it wasn't the typical kind of Italian escape so I would love to go to a few places in Italy, including Sicily of course.

6. Santorini will definitely be a place that I visit in the very near future and will be able to tick off of this little 'bucket' list if you like. It looks super pretty and I love that pretty much all of the buildings are white! Very Instagram-worthy if you ask me! I also love the look of the cute little villages/towns (no idea what they call them in Greece..) that you can walk through during the day or evening.

7. Florida is a place I have been to before when I was younger and I am absolutely dying to go back there one day! I'd love to go on a two week holiday and spend one week being a massive big kid visiting every park in Disneyland that I can and then spend the other week exploring other areas in Florida and going to the beaches.
*Image taken from Google here*
8. Dubai just looks incredible!! I've seen many pictures on Instagram of people who I follow that have been here and it looks beautiful. I would also love the see the massive walls of fish that are apparently in some of the hotels in Dubai! I feel like visiting here would literally be like visiting another world..
*Image taken from Google here*
9. Iceland, particularly Blue Lagoon. Is there really anything better than a relaxing spa holiday? Also, this view looks amazing and Blue Lagoon is a very popular attraction so it's definitely one for the bucket list.

10. South Africa, particularly a Safari. I think this would be one of the best experience's of my life if I ever had the opportunity to go on a Safari. It would be absolutely amazing to see these animals up close and personal (although I would be really worried for safety haha..) and also catch some great snaps.

So there we have it, a few of the many places that I would love to go to one day. I definitely aim to make it my mission to tick all of these off of my list - wouldn't that be awesome? I can dream right?

2015 Beauty Faves ♡

I know, I know, this post is well overdue as we are NOW IN FEBRUARY (is this what happens when you get older? Time just flies by and you can't keep up?) but it still feels like January so we're just going to roll with it because there's no rule book when it comes to blogging, right?

Morphe Brushes - Jaclyn Hill Favourites Palette
One of the first beauts of 2015 was definitely my Jaclyn Hill Favourites Morphe Brushes Palette (which is now well out of stock so I'm really sorry for including it but I just had to!). I have honestly used this palette non-stop since I got it and it has such a great range of shades from both warm and cool toned browns to bright pinks and a deep shimmery purple and green. I feel like this palette is very versatile and any of the Morphe Brushes palette's would be great for someone starting out and also for someone completely obsessed with eyeshadows like me!

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette (post here)
I've already posted a full review with swatches on this perfect palette so I won't bore you with too much information, but, long story short, I am obsessed with the eyeshadow shades in this palette and also the smell is heavenly and really makes me wanna eat it!

Smashbox Colour Corrector Primer
This primer is the only ever primer that I have used, so I am a little biased as I have never tried anything else. However, I do feel like this keeps my makeup in place all day and I do notice a difference if I don't have it on. I chose the colour correcting one in the Smashbox range as I suffer with redness around my nose area and this primer does definitely help to combat that.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - Gobi
I am completely and utterly besotted with this little gem and I never thought that I would ever say that about a foundation in my life! The coverage is perfect for me (medium - can be built up to a fairly full coverage though) and it actually covers the redness that I suffer with on my nose! Amazing! It also feels very lightweight and I don't feel as if I'm caked which is great for me because, although I love makeup, I hate the feel of it on my face. (p.s. review coming soon!!)

Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Champagne Pop
Definitely my all time favourite highlighter of 2015. Champagne Pop is a perfect light peach toned highlight that is very intense (so stay away if you prefer the more subtle look) and I probably apply way too much but I just can't help it because it's so beautiful!

TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer Highlighter
A new highlighter to have become mine during 2015 and it's so perfect for us pale gals as it's this lovely light beige highlight. If you're light handed then it's not too intense but, again, I do use a pretty heavy hand because I love my highlighted cheekbones!

Urban Decay Primer Potion - Original
I really don't think that I will ever go an eyeshadow-wearing-day without applying this primer - it's honestly incredible (and that's coming from a girl who never believed in eyeshadow primer's..). My eyeshadow does not budge when I apply this UD primer underneath it and it certainly does not crease - I know!?!

Benefit Roller Lash Msacara
Yes, I know, let's all watch Char jump on the Roller Lash bandwagon.. But seriously, this mascara has changed my (mascara) life! I was really getting fed up of every single eyeshadow clumping on my eyelashes and just looking awful (and trust me, I own 15 mascara's - high end and low end - so it's definitely not through lack of trying). That was until I took the plunge and purchased this precious baby #ILOVEYOU (yes, I did just use a hashtag in a blog post :) oh, and a smiley face).

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (Taupe) & Benefit Gimme Brow (Light/Medium)
Oh yes, this is the winning duo for my eyebrows! To be honest, both of these products are pretty expensive (especially for how small they are) but I totally get why now that I have used them and then used something different afterwards, the comparison is like no other for me and I seriously notice a difference if I use different brow products over these.

MAC Lipstick (Pink Plaid) & MAC Lipliner (Hip 'n' Happy)
Another kick ass duo - MAC Pink Plaid lipstick and Hip 'n' Happy lip liner. I feel like I'm wearing some sort of candyfloss cheesecake on my lips whenever I wear this combo - it's just so pretty and girly and I love it! I will be doing a lengthy post on this combination during the Spring/Summer months so keep your eyes pealed for that one.

Maybelline Moisture Renew Lipstick - Midnight Wonderl'oops
My trusty, vampy, purple lip AND it's from the drugstore AND it's super hydrating on the lips, uh-huh, you heard it here first folks, this lipstick is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I love how you can build up the intensity of this lipstick by applying less or more. You could also add some translucent powder over the top to make it matte, but I actually prefer the hydrated look that this lipstick gives me (even though I am totally obsessed with matte lips).

Valentine's Day Gift Guide: For Her ♡

I love Valentine's Day. I love that everything is so pretty and pink and there are also just a fair few heart's chucked in for good measure. I must admit though that some Valentine's Day card's can be a liiiiittle sickly but I do love having the excuse to buy my boyfriend something as I love gifting him with a nice present (and because y'kno, Valentine's Day isn't just about us, ladiesss!).

I would have to say that this gift guide was definitely my favourite to create out of all the gift guide's I've ever done on my blog because everything is extremely girly and pink! You can definitely get a feel for my personality by looking at this gift guide (just think fluffy, pink, sparkly, glittery, fairy unicorns and you're pretty much there tbh).

What would you choose for yourself from this gift guide?xoxo
