Little Ways To Cheer Yourself Up On A Bad Day ♡

It's no secret that we all suffer from those days where we just feel completely and utterly sorry for ourselves. Whether that be for a good reason or not, we all go through these days where we just think 'what's the point?', and it's ok to feel this way sometimes. Today I thought that I would share with you guys some of the little things I do to cheer myself up and get my mojo back! Hopefully some of these will work for you as well.

  1. Watch YouTube videos - these always put a smile on my face.
  2. Gossip with my friends - either in real life or via group chat!
  3. I grab my favourite food or something I'm craving for that particular day (which always happens) and then I sit in front of the TV watching something that I love - ahh bliss!
  4. I like to make a list of everything that I'm grateful for in my life - this may sound strange but I promise you will end up smiling as there is a lot in our lives to smile about.
  5. Do something I love i.e. Go shopping, for a meal, to the cinema, etc. This will give you an excuse to dress up and feel good about yourself.
  6. I love to browse various clothing sites (ASOS, Topshop, Missguided, etc.) even if I can't afford to buy anything, I like the satisfaction of adding items to my wishlist - no idea why!?
  7. Cooking can always be great for putting you in a better mood as it's very distracting, I like to bake something sweet whether that be a cake or some mini cookies.
  8. Reading - sitting down with a great book and immersing yourself into the world that you're reading always helps me as I'm not thinking about myself or the problem that has arisen.
  9. Have a bath - there really is nothing better than pampering yourself when you're not feeling your best. Maybe light some candles too and get the relaxing ambiance going!
  10. Smile. Force yourself too. This sounds silly but when you force yourself to smile you instantly feel a little better than you did before, so try it and humour me.

What's your favourite thing to do when you're in a bad mood?xoxo

A Rather Large M.A.C Haul ♡

Oh yes, I have been on another shopping spree - involving makeup, as always. All of the MAC products that you see above were purchased on seperate occasions and none of them were full price either (justifiable right?).

The lipsticks, one blush and the paint pot were all purchased from a site called Secret Sales, which is one of the best websites I could ever recommend. They launch new sales every day of the week from well-known brands (such as MAC, Prada, Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Clinique, Jimmy Choo, etc. I could go on!) which are always between 30 and 70% off! Amazing!

I also purchased the lip liner, the other blush and the eyeshadow from Swindon Designer Outlet which is an outlet store near to where I live. Outlet stores normally sell older season items and at heavily discounted prices. I'm not bothered about everything I buy being 'in trend' and 'in season' - if I like it, then I'll buy it!

M.A.C Blush | Warm Soul
I have had my beady eye on this blush for a little while now.. It's a perfect shade for these cooler Autumn and Winter months as it is quite a warm nude toned blush, yet still has that shimmer in it to give you that natural glow. Normally, I would never pick up a blush that is this shade but I decided to be open minded and try this one out to see how I liked it in comparison to my pink blushes.

M.A.C Blush | Please Me?
So pretty, so pink. This blush just called my name and how on earth could I resist? It's pink and sparkly - every girly makeup geek's dream (insert heart eye emoji). I can admit that it does look a little daunting and very vibrant but I can assure you that it's not as pigmented as it looks and, to me, this is a good thing, especially when it comes to blush as sometimes we can all get a little carried away and we don't want to end up looking like a clown!

M.A.C Painterly Pot | Soft Ochre
I have been lusting over this product for over a year now and I could never find it anywhere and if I could, it was always sold out! I'm hoping that this product will live up to it's high expectations that I currently hold for it.

M.A.C Single Eyeshadow | Beauty Marked Velvet
One word - stunning! I am totally obsessed with purple eye shadow's and especially ones with a little shimmer too. This one caught my eye and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to purchase it. I swatched this on the back of my hand and the colour came out a little deeper than I anticipated but I am pleased about that because it means that it's not at all like any of the other purple shadow's that I own (win, win right?). I am excited to play around with this eye shadow for sure.

M.A.C Lip Pencil | Chic Trick
I have been after a red lip pencil for some time now but I just kept procrastinating and never actually got around to buying one. I saw this one called Chic Trick as I was browsing the MAC section in the Cosmetic Company Store (inside the Designer Outlet) and noticed this red lip pencil so of course I picked it up. Unfortunately, I think it's more of a bright dark pink shade but I'm sure I can work with it.

M.A.C Satin Lipstick | Mocha
Do you not just love the name of this lipstick? I don't even like Mocha's but the word just sounds really cosy and warm (no? Just me..) and, as you can see, it's a lovely warm nude colour. I used to own a beautiful nude that suited me down to a T, but of course my sister borrowed this lipstick and never gave it back and obviously now she has no idea of it's where abouts..

M.A.C Satin Lipstick | Verve
I kept wondering where I had heard the word 'verve' from before, then it came to me a couple of days ago and I remembered that there is a sparkly silver shadow shade in the Naked 2 palette that I own that is called 'verve'.. Anyway, I don't own many MAC lipsticks and I really don't know why because I just love them. I also don't own a lipstick that is this particular shade either and I really like how deep the shade is.

M.A.C Satin Lipstick | Twig
Immediately you would have thought that this lipstick shade would be more of a brown nude due to the name of it however, it's this really pretty dark pink nude. I wore this lipstick for the first time last week and the only way I can really describe the shade is that it's a darker version of my natural lip shade - which I personally really like.

What have you bought from M.A.C recently?xoxo

Top 7 | My Favourite Bloggers ♡

*Image taken from google - here*
Sharing the blogging love today! I have quite a few blogs that I follow and love and I thought that I would share them with you guys so you can check them out and fall in love with them too.

Underneath each blogger/link I will write a little note advising you what their blogs involve, it just makes it a little easier than clicking on every single one (although I do highly advise that you do that :))

Sarah is the main reason I started my own blog and she was one of the first blogs I followed. Her blog is all Fashion and her sense of style is amazing and she always looks great.

I love this blogger, if you're looking to follow someone with the most perfect photo's and an incredible way of writing then you definitely need to check out Lydia. Her blog is mainly Fashion and Lifestyle/Fitness but she also posts Beauty related bits and bobs and also Recipes.

I first got hooked by Catherine's content via Instagram - you NEED to follow her Instagram, it is perfection. Her blog is equally as stunning and I'm always excited whenever a new post from herself pops up in my news feed. Definitely an amazing Beauty blog to follow.

Lauren posts the most colourful photo's which always put you in a good mood. She will make you super hungry for a great cupcake too if you follow her Instagram! A great Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle blog to have a little nosey at and follow.

A new blog that I have only been following for a little while and I wish I had found out about Corrie's blog a lot earlier! She writes great advice posts and is mainly a Beauty and Fashion blogger.

Another new blog I have recently started following. Rebecca never fails to post the most clean and crisp photo's which is what first enticed me to her blog. She posts mainly Lifestyle posts and also Beauty and Fitness content.

Amazing photo's again from this blog and I love the way Mandy writes. Her blog is mainly Advice, Beauty and Lifestyle with Fashion and Personal posts also making occurrences.

If you don't already follow all of these girls' blogs then I definitely suggest checking them out as they're amazing and I am obsessed with them!
I would love to come across some more amazing blogs like all of the ones I have listed above, so if you follow any blogs that you think I may be interested in, I would love to know.

Autumn Look: Burgundy with Extra Fringing ♡

When I first saw this fringe jacket from Topshop, I immediately knew that I just had to get it! It turns a normal everyday look into something just a little more fancy (and also makes it look like you have put a lot of effort in to your outfit when really you haven't at all!). I am loving fringe detailing at the moment, as you can already tell by now, and these shoes from Topshop are no exception!

I love wearing burgundy during the Autumn months (and a lot of black too!) as I think it's definitely a colour that suits both my complexion and hair colour. This long sleeve crop top is also from Topshop - as are the famous Joni jeans.

How do you feel about fringe detailing?xoxo

Cohorted Beauty Box | October Edition ♡

I finally took the plunge and decided to treat myself to one of the monthly Cohorted beauty box's (I have been trying to buy one since April and I they literally sold out within minutes and I always missed out..).
I was quite excited with the concept of these boxes as you never know what is actually going to be in your box that you receive.

If you aren't familiar with the brand Cohorted, it is basically a beauty website that offers both high end and low end beauty items at a discounted price. However, they are more well known for their high end products. Each week there are a couple of new 'cohorts' that go up on the website which are always high end and are discounted to a more affordable price, which is always great to hear!

This is the first beauty box that I have ever purchased and it arrived beautifully packaged, all sleek and sophisticated with a black ribbon tied in a bow around a simple yet captivating black box (definitely perfect for blog photo's and of course Instagram photo's!). So, without further ado, let's see what's inside of the box!

BareMinerals | Purifying Cleansing Lotion
I have never tried any beauty products from Bare Minerals and I honestly could not even tell you why. I guess I just use what I use and everything else goes a little unnoticed. I'm not really one to try new products as I'm scared of my skin breaking out or wasting my money on products that I'll try once and then never use again (I can be realistic and sensible sometimes, see..). I'm kind of looking forward to trying this cleansing lotion as I haven't had one of these involved in my skincare routine in a little while (due to the sensitive skin situation).

BareMinerals | Purely Nourishing Moisturiser
I do already have a moisturiser that I use on a daily basis night time maybe two or three times a week (I'm too lazy to care - it's bad, I know!) so I've decided that I will use this to moisturise my skin before applying my makeup. I am a little apprehensive to try this product out as my skin is pretty much intolerant to almost all ingredients - including the ones that are actually good for you might I add.

Peter Thomas Roth | Lashes To Die For Mascara
This product I am more than excited to try out because I absolutely love mascara and I have an ever growing collection. I did a little research on this mascara and found out that it has staggered bristles which seperate the lashes and it also promises to deliver volume and length. This mascara also has a slim tapered tip which reaches the smallest lashes with ease. Sounds promising so far right? I also read that this mascara isn't supposed to clump, smudge or flake - if this is true then I will be very pleased!

BareMinerals | Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Hypnotist
I'm not really a lipgloss lover, so I was a little disappointed by this product. If it had been a regular lipgloss colour (clear, nude, pink, red, etc.) then I would have been happy, but I'm not too excited about the concept of this particular lipgloss as it is described as being 'iridescent' and shifting from pale purple to coral-peach with gold pearl. I only briefly tried this on my lips with no colour underneath and there was nothing special about. However, I have not tried it over the top of a lipstick yet so I will give that a try first before I completely knock this product.

Ciaté | Paint Pots Nail Varnish - Serendipity

I have never tried a Ciaté nail varnish before - I am a Barrym lover through and through - so I am very pleased to have received this in my beauty box. The colour is absolutely gorgeous! It's a really Christmas-y and sparkly red/pink shade which will definitely look so pretty for this time of the year. I love the cute little bow that comes attached to the nail varnish bottle - it adds that delicate little touch that makes this brand stand out above all the rest. I'm really hoping that the consistency of this nail varnish lives up to expectations and doesn't disappoint.

I must say that, all in all, I was pretty pleased with everything I received - bar the 'Marvelous Moxie' lipgloss. I am quite tempted by Cohorted's Black subscription box and I may treat myself again next month, but we shall see! I have been browsing the internet for other potential beauty box buys but I'm pretty disappointed in what I did manage to find as none of the other's really compare to the Cohorted Beauty Box. I would love to know which beauty box's you guys recommend.

Have you ever purchased a beauty box?xoxo
