Let's Talk About: Fitness ♡

I really am not a lover of exercise, however I love the feeling I get afterwards. I find it really hard to try and motivate myself, especially when I have been at work all day and all I want to do is catch up on PLL or MIC (you can deny it, but you know it's true and you're obsessed too!) and pig out with some Boost Bites or a bag of Cool Original Doritos (yum!!).
As I am now not a teenager anymore, I realise that exercise is not only important for your health but it is also important for your well-being. I always feel much happier and content in myself once I have done an hour's exercise and it really does make such a difference.

I am not your typical gym gal and I hate having to tell myself what to do whilst in the gym as I am not an expert, so I definitely prefer to attend an hour exercise class - such as Zumba, Dance Fitness, Boxercise, Aerobics, etc. - with a friend or two. I also enjoy myself much more if I attend a class with one of my friend's as you can have fun at the same time as working out (you can also have a bit of a goss too).

I always thought that it would be a waste of money to pay for something that I feel like I should be getting paid for to go to! However, it can be quite surprising how good you feel when you're spending money on looking AND feeling great. If you are on a budget and can't afford to spend £5 on an exercise class every week then I totally understand. Another great idea would be to purchase an exercise DVD (I definitely recommend the Charlotte Crosby Belly Blitz DVD if you want to see results quickly and you also want to challenge yourself) and invite one or two of your friends round to join you.
I, personally, could never motivate myself to complete an exercise DVD all by myself, it would be way too tempting to sit on the sofa or grab some food! (However, if you can motivate yourself then good for you and please pass some of that over to me!?).

The last thing that I would just like to address is that it is really important to want to get fit for yourself and NOT for someone else, such as a boyfriend, a family member or a friend. You really won't enjoy yourself whilst exercising if you're not doing it for your own personal reasons. It's nice to have some sort of motivation (like a really physically fit girl on the 'Bali Body' Instagram page..) but exercise can be abused if you're trying to look like someone else or even better than them. We are all different and there is no 'right' or 'perfect' way to look and I think us girl's can forget this when we become too consumed with looking a certain way.
So, if you are exercising then just remember that you are doing it for yourself and that it can be fun too! Don't be too scared to try something new or different as you may surprise yourself.

Beauty Buys | Feel Unique and M.A.C ♡

Okay, so it's true, I went a liiittle overboard with the sale items on Feel Unique and really treated myself! How could I possibly pass up deal's so good?! (I would highly advise checking out their sale!).

Maybelline New York Eraser Eye Concealer
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

It may seem unnecessary, but I did purchase two concealer's (whoops!) as one was high end and the other was drugstore. I wanted to do a comparison post and I thought this would be my opportunity to do so, so keep an eye out for that one!
The first is from Urban Decay and the second is from Maybelline. I have heard many beauty guru's rave about both of these concealer's so I thought that I would personally see what all the fuss is about!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Maybelline New York Falsies Big Eyes Mascara
I also bought two mascara's as well (not that I really need any more but hey ho!). The Maybelline mascara is a re-purchase as it is amazing for evenly coating the lower lashes whilst also giving them volume at the same time! The Benefit mascara is one I have been lusting over for a little while now as I received a free mini sample (along with hundreds of other girls!) with an issue of Elle Magazine in March of this year and I finally took the plunge and bought the full size of this beauty as there was a 15% off Benefit goodies the day I decided to take a browse on Feel Unique (fate huh?!).

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Rose Gold Eyelash Curler
The Vintage Cosmetic Company Rosie Spot Slanted Tweezers

The Vintage Cosmetic Company also caught my eye whilst I was on a roll and I chose both of these cute tools to add to my ever growing collection. As you all know, I love rose gold and I have never actually owned a pair of eyelash curlers (crazy huh!?) so obviously I needed to buy some (and they were on sale...) and I settled for these.
I couldn't decide between the paisley floral pattern or the red and white spot style tweezers but, in the end, I was persuaded by the spotty ones as they are just too cute - however, I really do want the floral ones too! (#LIFE!!)

Urban Decay Eyeshadow - Lounge

More Urban Decay goodies! Yay! I know I keep talking about how gorgeous everything is... But, how gorgeous is this super sparkly eye shadow in the shade Lounge?! I own the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay so I'm familiar with the high quality and pigmentation of their eye shadows, so naturally I took the plunge and decided on this .... single shadow. I'm a little too excited to try this out. (prepare for Instagram photo's!)

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original
I never really thought that eye shadow primer was that necessary but I really have had enough of my eye shadow settling in the creases of my eye lids! To be honest, I probably wouldn't have purchased this product if it hadn't have been in the sale so I really do hope it is worth it!

Maybelline New York Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara - Dark Blonde

I'm currently running low on my Benefit Gimme Brow and, as it was quite expensive, I decided against re-purchasing it even though I do absolutely love it! I chose to try out something different (it's definitely some sort of a phase that I'm going through lately...) that was also a lot dearer. Again, I have heard many beauty guru's talking about how much they love this brow mascara and it's just an added bonus that it's from the drugstore. Another 'try it' product for me!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner - Black

I also purchased the Rimmel ScandalEyes 24hr Gel Liner as I really do struggle with applying winged eyeliner and I have heard that the easiest way to apply it is with a gel and a eyeliner brush, so I am going to give this a go and see if it works. Fingers crossed!

Benefit Hellow Flawless! Custom Powder Cover-up SPF 15 - Ivory 'I Love Me'

Now this one IS a re-purchase that I have been meaning to buy for a couple month's but kept putting off (the first world problem when buying expensive makeup) because of it's price. I do own a drugstore powder but I just prefer a little more coverage and it was 15% off!

Real Techniques Setting Brush

Maybe this Real Techniques Setting Brush was a biiit of an impulse buy, but it was only £5.59 and I had already spent over £100 anyway... Ooops! Plus, at the moment I am using a cheap eye shadow brush to set my under eye concealer haha.

M.A.C Electric Cool Eyeshadow - In Orbit
I also received a M.A.C gift card from two of my friends for my birthday a couple month's back and finally had the opportunity to spend it. I decided to go for one of the limited edition Electric Cool eye shadows named In Orbit which is a light warm neutral colour with gold reflects. The Electric Cool eye shadows are a new generation of texture with a spongy formula which provide a medium to buildable coverage when applied with your finger. They are creamy to the touch and easy to apply and blend.
I did swatch In Orbit in store and instantly fell in love with it as it felt so smooth and gave a shimmery/sparkly effect which I just adore! There are a variety of colours within this collection ranging from green to blue to purple to brown - there is definitely a perfect shade for every girl out there!

M.A.C Lip Pencil - Dervish

I also bought another lip liner (I now only own three so I think I can purchase some more...) in the shade Dervish which is this lovely pinky-mauve colour. I am yet to try this out but I will, of course, let you know my thought's. I feel like this lip liner will be a 'your lips but better' shade with a slightly deeper rosy hint to it, yum!

What have you purchased recently?xoxo
