Neutral Brown Smokey Eye with a Subtle Pink Lip ♡

Hello everyone! Today's blog post is slightly different to usual as I thought that I would share a makeup look I created and uploaded to YouTube.

So, this particular day I was going shopping with my friend during the day time and I was in one of those mood's where I felt like doing a subtle smokey eye but I wanted to make sure that it could be wearable for during the day. You could definitely build this look up to a dark smokey eye and make it more evening appropriate by applying a deep dark brown and even a black eye shadow paired with a bold or a nude lip - whatever you are more comfortable with.

If you would like to see how I created this look then please follow the link below.

My Top 5 Beauty Products ♡

Today's blog post is a collaboration with Hannah Porter so make sure you also head over to her blog and check her post out.

We have decided to write about our Top 5 Beauty products, as you can probably guess by the title!

My first beauty product is obviously going to be foundation right!? This is a must have, especially for us unlucky girls with redness/spots etc. I am currently using two and these are the Lord & Berry Cream Foundation and Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation. I must admit that I'm not crazy about either of these two at the moment, as I have been using them for a while now, and I am currently on the hunt for a new foundation, I'm thinking Nars Sheer Glow..

I could not live without my trusty Mac Soft & Gentle highlighter! I just adore that fresh and pretty glow this highlighter gives you. You can also use this as an all over lid colour and a brow highlight, so this is definitely an all round winner for me.

Benefit Roller Lash mascara, or any mascara for that matter, is definitely a must have for me (what's new Char..) as you could wear no makeup at all and just have on a little mascara and you instantly look more awake.

Anastasia Brow Wiz is my new favourite! I love how natural the finish of this product is (definitely no Scouse brows in sight for sure!) and the wide range of shades is amazing. In my opinion, I feel that brows give that necessary shape to the face that it needs when completing any makeup look.

Mac's Soar Lip Liner is for sure in my top 5 beauty products!! I just cannot get enough of this beautiful shade and the best aspect about lip liner is the fact that you can use it as an all over shade just like a lipstick!

Summer Outfit Wishlist | 2015 ♡

Summer Clothing Wishlist

The time has come again for me to share with you many items of clothing I would love to be able to purchase for myself this up and coming summer! As you can all probably tell by now, I have a slight obsession with Topshop. I have made sure to include other highstreet stores so that this is not a 'Topshop Wishlist' haha. I will, of course, save that for another time..

This co-ord is super cute and I have actually already ordered this, oops! Can you blame me though!? It's super pretty and I cannot wait to wear it on my summer holiday and once the dull English weather eventually brightens up!!

White Lace Halterneck Drawstring Playsuit - £35

If only this gorgeous playsuit was still available in my size *cry*. Again, this is perfect for when the sun is shining and I really love the low plunge neckline, which is very unlike me!

Missguided Lime Jersey Tribal Print Playsuit - £15

Oh my goodness, is it just me that is totally obsessed with this bright playsuit?! I am so in love and it's taking all of my strength to not purchase it! I think that this would look super cute with either black ankle boots and a black leather jacket on those colder days or just a simple pair of gladiator sandals on those warmer days.

Missguided Peach Paisley Silky Strappy Cami Dress - £22

You guessed it, I am also obsessing over this beautiful paisley print cami dress. I really love the colour peach so I was instantly drawn to this dress because of that. I find the style of cami dresses quite simple, yet flattering and this has definitely got to be one of my favourite style of dresses around at the moment.

Topshop Strappy Scarf Print Jumpsuit - £42

Love, love, love this jumpsuit! I'm all about putting green and purple together, that colour combination is so complimentary I feel.

Topshop Flower Patterned A-Line Skirt - £28

This skirt is so summery! Although, I really do dislike how it has been styled on the Topshop website as I personally feel that the other items do not compliment this skirt at all. My vision of this skirt is either with some strappy white/cream heeled sandals or flat brown leather gladiator sandals paired with a cream cami, something simple like that to really show off the beautiful pattern of this skirt. That is just my opinion though.

ASOS PETITE Exclusive Babydoll Swing Dress in Stripe - £30

I must admit, this dress has been in my ASOS 'Saved Items' for quite some time now as I have been lusting over it for a while! I love anything striped, especially in summer time. I find the style of this dress quite flattering on my body shape as I'm quite short and slim so I find the tight top and the floaty bottom the most suitable style to wear.

ASOS LUMBA Pointed Two Part Ballets - £22

Ahh these shoes are so cute!! I really love the pale pink/apricot colour of these shoes, definitely perfect for summer in my opinion! These would look perfect with white jeans (as pictured) or a cute little dress.

(ASOS) Warehouse Embellished Bead Flat Sandals - £32

I love brightly coloured flat sandals in Summer as they add that little pop of something extra to a casual/plain outfit. I cannot wait until I can start wearing sandals (even though, let's be honest' they KILL our feet, we still feel summery and glamorous in them right!?) because it will then officially be summer!

I hope this can give you a little bit of summer inspiration if you are struggling on what pieces you would like to treat yourself to this summer!

Which item is your favourite piece?xoxo

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish - Soft & Gentle ♡

I have had this wonderful highlighter in my collection for quite some time now - as you can tell by the 'old' style packaging. To be honest, this product was my first ever high end spend and boy can I tell you that it was definitely worth the whole £23 I spent on it!

Soft & Gentle is a beautiful bronzey, champagne shade which gives you that gorgeous shimmery glow that we all love. The shimmer is pretty intense but thank goodness there are no chunky bits of glitter in sight, so you do not need to worry about looking like you have just been attacked by the glitter monster!

I personally feel that this highlighter would suit a wide range of skin tones, making this product even more popular. I especially think that this highlighter would suit me even more when I have a tan as it is quite warm-toned which will compliment a tan beautifully.

I like to apply my highlighter to the highest points of my cheek bones, just for that really subtle glow. When I feel particularly fancy I also like to pop a bit of the highlighter on my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, on my cupid's bow and a tiny little bit on my chin just to give that lovely healthy-looking glow.
I have also tried applying this highlighter as an all-over-lid eye shadow which is simply just stunning! I do this by slightly wetting my eye shadow brush with some Mac Fix Plus Spray and generously picking up some of the highlighter with it and gently smoothing that all over my lid. (If you own this highlighter and you have not tried this, I would 100% recommend you to.)

The consistency is silky smooth and quite thin which makes applying the highlighter quick and simple with no fuss. A small amount most certainly goes a very long way with this little gem and I have been using mine for well over a year now and, as you can see, mine has only just started to flatten from where it was originally domed. I can see that this is going to last me a very long time and if it were to ever run out, I would re-purchase without hesitation.

(This is a re-blog/post as I managed to take some, much needed, better photograph's).

Do you own Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle?
What are your thoughts on it?xoxo
