Makeup Tag | 2016 ♡

*IMAGE TAKEN FROM GOOGLE*
Thank you Madalena for tagging me in this great makeup tag! I don't normally do tag type posts on my blog but I thought this one was quite fun and interesting because a) it's all about makeup and b) it's a fun way to get to know me a little! I hope you all enjoy this post and I tag anyone who wants to do it!

1. How do you feel more powerful - with nude makeup or vibrant makeup?
If I'm totally honest, makeup doesn't make me feel 'powerful' as such - it just simply makes me feel a little better about myself. I love wearing both nude and vibrant makeup. Nude makeup is great for everyday wear and makes you feel a little special. Vibrant makeup is always great for a night out or a party and tends to make me feel just that little bit more 'sparkly'. So it depends on my mood.

2. Are you a makeup addict?
I am 100% obsessed with all things makeup and I love collecting it, however I don't wear makeup every single day. To be honest, I don't wear it that much at all! Which sounds silly as I have a beauty blog and would love to become a makeup artist.. But sometimes it isn't necessarily about wanting to wear it 24/7 to be an addict or obsessed. If I didn't work in an office full time then I think that I would definitely wear makeup a lot more than I already do.

3. How often do you use makeup?
I don't wear makeup on a daily basis. I normally wear makeup if I am attending an event, going to a party or going out with either my boyfriend or friends shopping or for a meal.

4. Do you think that makeup can be restricted to some ages?
I personally feel that makeup should be worn by people of the age 16 and above. Just because it can sometimes give off the wrong impression to the wrong type's of people and it can give younger children unnecessary attention. It's also a way of enhancing your features and it's quite sad that children nowadays want to change their faces at such a young age. I didn't properly start wearing makeup until I was about 17/18 because there can be harsh chemicals in makeup that are not suitable for younger skin. However, it is of course each to their own and my opinion is not a fact.

5. Recommend a drugstore brand and a high end brand that are totally worth the hype?
Drugstore brand - NYX is great and the majority of their products are very pigmented. I also love L'oreal as their mascara's are amazing. High end brand - M.A.C lipstick's are my all time fave and I'm beginning to fall in love with Too Faced.

6. What's your favourite lipstick at the moment?
The lipstick that I wear the most at the moment is called 'Twig' and it's by M.A.C. It's a gorgeous deep berry toned brown nude which is a shade slightly darker than my natural lip colour. They also smell amazing.

7. What makeup item do you splurge on?
It's definitely great to have a good base to start off with, so foundation is always one to spend a little extra money on. I own the Nars Sheer Glow foundation and I can't see myself using another foundation for a long time.

8. Tell us what you don't like to see on you but that you like to see on other people?
I personally think that winged eyeliner doesn't suit me at all because I have annoying hooded eyes, but I love seeing other people wear winged eyeliner. I also don't wear bright fuchsia lips but when I see other people wearing it, it always looks great.

9. In your makeup collection, which is the most common brand?
That would have to be either Benefit, M.A.C or L'oreal/Rimmel. I love all of these brands but I definitely own lots of makeup from all different cosmetic brands.

10. Name some other bloggers to join in on this tag?
I nominate anyone who would like to complete this tag! It's a great way to get to know a little bit more about the people you follow and it's really fun.

Answer one of these questions in the comments below if you don't fancy completing the tag yourself? I'd love to know something beauty related about you guys following on from these questions xoxo

What I Got For Christmas | 2015 ♡

Christmas is my most favourite time of the year and I definitely prefer it to my birthday! I love watching everyone else in my family open their presents (as well as opening my own of course) because it brings me such joy to see their smiling faces - yes, I succeeded in present buying for another year. Go me!
So I thought that I would share with you lovely lot what I received because, let's be honest, we all love having a little nosey at other people's Christmas presents! P.S. I'm very sorry that this post is late.. I put my hands up and say that I was definitely slacking - as you can tell, I'm not that great with deadlines. They stress me out a little. I'll stop rambling now and just let you feast your eyes on the good stuff!
I love this phone case so freaking much!! It's so cute and is definitely so me. I was browsing Casetify one day and stumbled across this super pretty phone case and I just knew that I needed it in my posession. So I obviously very kindly asked my mum for it as one of my Christmas presents - that's what mum's are for hey?! (Although this present was actually passed on to my Nan to gift to me).
These pyjama's have been added to my ever growing 'Christmas Pyjama Collection' (yes, I do have one of these because I now own three pairs) and I really do love the pattern! The gingerbread men and snowmen are so cute and I love that the base colour of the pyjama's are grey. They are from ASOS so of course they fit very fashionably - cuffed at the ankle and a cute tank style for the pyjama top.
I went shopping with both my Cousin and Auntie one evening (without realising that they actually intended on going shopping FOR me - oops!) and we stopped via New Look, just to have a little browse. I ended up buying a roll neck jumper for myself, but that's not the point of this post.. I saw this little gem out of the corner of my eye and thought to myself 'wouldn't this look so cute in my room?' and obviously I said this out loud and then my younger Cousin very kindly bought it for me for Christmas and I was so pleased! Sometimes saying what you like out loud can be a good thing :)
It's becoming a bit of a theme with 'saying what I like out loud' because this was another beauty that I saw in WHSmith and thought I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE! and then immediately sent an image to my mum of course. I love the black and gold detailing and the floral pattern (how handy that it comes with a pen too mind?) and the inside is just even better! I received this from my Godmother (mum's bestfriend) and I knew my mum had instructed her to buy it for me which I definitely cannot complain about.
I have lusted after this perfume for about two years now and I finally received it from my gorgeous Mother this Christmas! I don't blow my own trumpet very often at all but I smell amazing, if I do say so myself! If you ever get the chance to have a little sniff of this I would definitely recommend it, but I will warn you now that you won't forget the smell and you will probably be asking for it for either your birthday or Christmas for around 2 years like I did! You're welcome!
Two of the softest gifts on the planet!? This dressing gown feels like you're constantly being hugged by someone who is uber fluffy and it's just an absolute dream. I also decided to spruce up my bed a little by adding this gorgeous faux fur throw. Both presents were again from my mum and dad and they (when I say they, I of course mean mum..) did an amazing job with the presents this year! Even more so than usual. Parent points are awarded to you both.
Another gift from mum and dad and this one is to help with both my blogging and YouTube because unfortunately I live in England and we all know how annoying the lighting is in this country. So I thought that I would ask for a little friend to assist me with this - an LED ring light. Now all I need to do is experiment with it, get a little frustrated and throw a tantrum because my photo's are still not looking how I want them to, and then get back on the horse and try again! Oh the joy.. No really, I do love taking photo's for my blog but you know when you have an image in your head of how you want them to turn out and then they never look that way? Yes, that's me all the time.
My sister is just awesome and knows how much I love Disney. Her friend went to Las Vegas and picked me up two of the Pandora Disney charms (Minnie Pavé and Winnie The Pooh) as they are only available to buy in the U.S - of course!

Another Pandora charm from mum, the cutest little Reindeer you have ever seen! Especially with his super cute red nose - aww. I had my eye on this charm for the longest time and, I'm not going to lie, I was hoping that I would receive this and I was extremely happy when I did.

Who doesn't love Yankee Candles? I've recently jumped on the bandwagon with the whole I LOVE CANDLES saga and now I really do love candles. My boyfriend's younger sister very kindly bought me this Christmas gift set and I love her for it. What an excellent gift.
Who also doesn't love Pitch Perfect? I bought the first DVD right away and then had to wait a looong time for the second film to come out in the cinema and oh my goodness it was even better than the first! So naturally when my boyfriend's older sister asked me what I wanted, I immediately said 'Pitch Perfect 2 DVD please!'.
My boyfriend is honestly amazing and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased. Look at this absolute beauty of a Michael Kors bag! Could you die?! I know I could and I did actually cry when I opened my last 'surprise' present and it was this! I'm so so so so so so grateful and lucky and I have been wearing it everyday that I possibly can. He also gifted me with the baby blue 'Loyal' Pandora Essence Collection charm and a Marc Jacobs watch that I have had my eye on for the longest time!

All in all, it is very safe to say that I am completely and utterly over the moon with all of the presents that I received and I am forever grateful to my family for all of these lovely gifts. I love each and every single one.

P.S. Sorry about the quality of the photo's! They have all been taken on my phone on different days!!

What did you get for Christmas?xoxo

Our Christmas Trip to Paris ♡

For my early Christmas present, my boyfriend decided to treat me to a couple of days in Paris! I was so excited when I found out and extremely grateful to him. We flew out on the 10th December super early in the morning and started our trip the correct way - with croissants for breakfast of course! The weather was really quite cold but hey, it wouldn't be the middle of December and nearly Christmas if this wasn't the case.. So I didn't mind at all, it just added to the ambience of it all.
I had to include this panoramic of Bristol airport because I have never noticed this roof top garden before!? It's pretty so I thought I would share it with you guys haha.
The view from our plane was so beautiful at around 9am in the morning, the sun was peeping through the clouds and it just looked magical. I've never seen a view like this out of a plane window before so, as you can tell, I was most impressed.
Our first stop was the Arc de Triomphe! I've never actually seen it this close before and I can honestly tell you that it was amazing! So big! Not that I expected anything less. We took a lovely stroll up the Champs-Elysees before reaching the Arc de Triomphe and it was so nice to just walk at a leisurely pace past all the shops.
This was the restaurant that we went to in the evening and the decor was really up my ally so I had to snap a photo of it! We had a delicious meal - Kieran had Calamari to start and then a fish dish for his main and I, of course, had a chicken pizza! The calamari starter was huge! We couldn't quite believe that it was only meant for one person as we both shared it. Crazy!
And yes, if you're wondering, my pizza was super yummy! I know all you pizza lovers out there will be craving a pizza now you have seen this - sorry!
I had to include this shameless mirror selfie to show you guys actually how cold it was! As you can see, I am wearing a jumper, a really thick coat, a hat, scarf and I also had gloves on too! I do feel the cold quite a bit but believe me when I say it was freezing - I also saw a few locals walking around with hats, scarves and gloves on too, that's when you know it's definitely cold haha!
These photo's show what the weather was like - quite gloomy but still bright white. It was quite nice actually because it didn't rain. If it had rained then that wouldn't have been ideal, not going to lie!
The Eiffel Tower was definitely a highlight for me - it was even more incredible than I remember. If you haven't ever been to Paris before, I would definitely recommend going and 100% visiting the Eiffel Tower. It's breathtaking and very photographic!
This is a panoramic I took whilst on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower.
Some cheeky selfies of course! It just had to be done haha!
We managed to get a lovely English couple to snap a quick photo of us which I'm so grateful for because it's the only proper photo of us both that we managed to get!

Such stunning views from the very top of the Eiffel Tower! Although it did make us feel a little sick looking down, it was definitely worth it. One of the best memories ever.
Seeing the Mona Lisa in real life was so surreal. I love art and it was amazing to see this famous painting right in front of me. We managed to visit the Louvre for free as were under 25 years old which was an added bonus.
The outside of the Louvre was breathtaking to look at especially in the evening. I love it when buildings are lit up because they just look so pretty.
On the last evening that we were in Paris for, we decided to have a little ride on this sort of Paris eye if you like so that we could see Paris lit up at night and it really did look so magical. Although it was freezing cold it was still and experience that I will never forget.

Finally, this was the very Parisian view from our balcony attached to our room. If it hadn't have been as cold as it was, I definitely would have sat out on this balcony early in the morning reading a good book and taking in the wonderful atmosphere and view.

All photo's have been taken on my phone, so I do apologise for the quality of some of them!

Looking back at all of these photo's has really given me the holiday/Paris blue's and I really want to go back! It was one of the best trips ever and I'm so lucky to have had the opportunity to go. Thank you to my amazing boyfriend for the experience! :)

Have you ever been to Paris?xoxo
